What a Great Weekend!

This weekend was a really good one! I spent time with family and friends all weekend long!
Friday night, I went to the Greenwood football game where I met up with my friend Amber.
Amber and I became friends in 7Th grade. We became known as Amber squared and big Amber and little Amber. Amber is married and has two precious babies. I love that when we see each other it is like we were just together the day before! Isn't it great to have friends like that!
Then, Saturday morning I woke up early and went and watch my friend Kristy run! She did amazing! I have worked with Kristy the past three years and we have an amazing friendship that grows stronger each day. She is the the kind of friend that is there for you no matter what! She would do anything to help me and encourages me daily! After this I came home and watched the Hogs play! Woo Pig Sooie!! They won....although it was ugly that pulled of the win! The good thing about football is a "W" is a "W." After that, I went and watched some Kristy's daughter cheer! She was adorable and they did so good! I had no plans that night sooo.....I randomly decided to drive to Rogers and spend time with Mayci and Caleb! We did a little shopping and watched Elf! I love that movie! Mayci loves Christmas and of course so do I! I love spending time with Mayci and Caleb, too! I know I have talked about them before..Mayci and I were college roommates! She is the person who knows the most about me and loves me anyway! LOL! She is a great friend! I came home Sunday and ate dinner and play Super Nintendo with Alexis and Taylor! I love those two! We have so much fun doing nothing! I need to add a side note...Alexis made Cajun Chicken Pasta(like they have at Chili's) it was Amazing! She might just become a cook afterall! Hope you all had a great weekend! I look forward to many more weekends to come like this!!

Confusion

This topic has been on my heart a lot lately and I feel so confused! Let me start from the beginning...When I moved back to Greenwood it just felt right to go back to the church I grew up in! I had sweet friend still going there and had served there on and off throughout college. After being there about 6 months my friend Rachel and I were approached about starting a class for young women in their 20s. We lead the class but had tremendous difficulties trying to get people to come! We had a couple girls come and I have grown to love them and really get to know them. Long story short Rachel and one of the other girls got married. This left us with two or three in our class and our awesome leader Dana. Well to get to the point basically the class fizzled out. Throughout this time I have just had this feeling that I need to find somewhere else to go or somewhere to get feed(God's word of course.). I have always wanted to go to church and really miss it when I am not there but lately I just don't feel that way. Our class joined another class and I am liking the women in there but I still just don't feel right. They are older than I and all have children that are mostly older, too. I NEED prayers! I NEED Guidance! I NEED to know how to meet other single young people my age! I NEED to know where God wants me and how to serve and meet the needs of others!! I love Jesus and Love serving and want to do what God wants me too do regardless of my comfort level!! Please pray for me!!

Lake Weekend

I love summer and water more than I can express in words!! I think I am as dark as I ever have been, because if the opportunity comes I want to be outside in the water! Most of the summer I have been at my parents pool, but this weekend was special one and I went out to Beaver Lake! My friends(Mayci, Caleb, Randy, and Liz) and I all left on Friday and went to Caleb's parent's lake house on Beaver lake. Needless to say we had a blast! To give you a little background on who I went with......
Liz was my basketball buddy in high school! Every time we made a long trip we would sit by each other on the bus and became pretty good friends this way! So, when we both decided to go off to college at UCA Liz became my Freshman roommate! We had our ups and downs and living together was not for us but our friendship has remained all these years! Through her and living in the dorm she met Randy! He is an amazing guy and I am so glad that Liz has found him! We have became close as well!
Then, there is Mayci! She is one of my BFFs, too! She lived in State Hall with me when we are Freshman! We actually met though having classes together in the dorm! FYI: This is great way to meet people if you are going off to college! At UCA it is called Residential College and you have classes right in your dorm. Anyways, back to Mayci, when we lived in State our freshman year Mayci practically lived in our room and we hung out 24/7! We even worked at the same daycare for 6 months! Pretty much from the first time we met we were inseparable! We lived together the rest of our college career and have gotten closer each year we have known each other! Mayci met Caleb while working at Chick-fila. I am so thankful to have them in my life! I know that they both would be there for me no matter what!
Now where was I, ohhh yes back to the Lake! So, we basically laid out by the lake the whole time the sun was at on Friday and Saturday! We had so fun and silly times talking about mermaids and what not! We ate great food(brautes, bar-b-que chicken, breakfast casserole, and egg sandwiches)!! It was a fun relaxing weeknd with some great friends! We even talked about going on a future trip overseas that I really hope will work out! It is great to enjoy water, bevearages, and good food any weekend! This will be a weekend I won't forget for awhile! :)

Good News...Good News!

I am sure if anyone reads this they already know that next year, I will be teaching 5th grade!! I have to be honest this is a change that I am excited about and oh so nervous, too!! If you would have asked me three years ago if I would every teaching older kids I would have said "NO WAY!" But, as you all know things change and God opens doors for you just at the right time! The one thing that calms my nerves about my BIG change is that I get to take my awesome friend Kristy Driscoll with me! I would honestly be lost without her(in so many ways!)!! She keeps me organized and positive!! Not to mention that she is an awesome friend and one of my BFFs! We will be teaching in an integrated classroom for social studies and literacy. What does that mean? Well, we have have some students that may need a little extra help and have an IEP, but we will also have regular students as well! I can't wait to see what this new year brings!
